Library renovations & what you need to know

Undergrad and library student worker, America Curl, talks about the Student Success District.

We're renovating the Main Library and Weaver Science-Engineering Library007真人网址 as part of the project. You'll hear construction noise during the week, but you can borrow noise-reducing headphones and get free earplugs at our Ask Us desk. No construction happens after 4pm and on the weekends.

Both libraries are open normal hours and still have what you need. Contact us if you have questions.

Borrowing technology and iSpace

  • Laptops, cameras, and projectors are only available at Weaver Library.
  • Main Library does have some smaller stuff you can borrow, including chargers/cords, headphones, and calculators.
  • iSpace is at Weaver Library Room 200S until the technology moves to the CATalyst Studios at the Main Library in January 2020.

Using computers

  • NetID-login computers are still on the Main Library 1st floor and Weaver Library 2nd floor.
  • Public computers and computer cards are only at the Weaver Library.
  • Multimedia Zone is at the Weaver Library. Double PC monitors are at both libraries.

Getting around

  • If you need to get to the Main Library 1st floor—including Room 112, computers, or study rooms—get access through the corridor on the 1st floor or from the  courtyard.
  • Stairs and elevators at both libraries are fully accessible to get between floors.

Printing and scanning

  • CATprints printing kiosks are on the 1st and 3rd floors of the Main Library and 2nd floor of Weaver Library.
  • Overhead book scanning is on Main Library 3rd floor and Weaver Library 2nd floor.
  • Flatbed scanners are available at both libraries.
  • 3D printing is at Weaver Library.
